MDA EMTs and paramedics continue to remain at peak readiness to provide immediate medical response as needed. Magen David Adom calls on the public to continue following Home Front Command instructions.

MDA Director General, Eli Bin: “With the outbreak of Operation ‘Roaring Lion,’ Magen David Adom, Israel’s national emergency medical organization, stood at peak readiness with full staffing of thousands of emergency vehicles across the country. The organization’s EMTs and paramedics were dispatched and were the first to arrive at many scenes, where they operated with determination, professionalism, dedication, and speed – often even under missile fire – to provide life-saving medical assistance to over 2,500 casualties at all levels of injury, in full cooperation with the Home Front Command, Israel Police, Fire and Rescue Services, and local authorities. Sadly, 23 civilians were murdered during the 40 days of the operation, and we share in the deep sorrow of their families and wish a speedy recovery to all those injured. Thank you, from the bottom of my heart, to the thousands of MDA women and men – EMTs and paramedics, blood services staff, logistics and administrative personnel, volunteers, employees, and reserve unit members, who operated tirelessly, at all hours, on weekdays, Shabbat, and during the Passover holiday with endless dedication. I call on the public to continue adhering to Home Front Command instructions – we have seen throughout the war how these instructions save lives. We will continue to stand on the front line and give our all for the safety and health of Israel’s citizens.”
