Day 7 of Operation “Am K’Lavi – Rising Lion”: MDA Teams Have Treated 1,007 Casualties to Date, Including 23 Fatalities, 14 in Serious Condition, 26 Moderate, 591 Light Injuries, 149 Suffering from Anxiety, and 204 Treated On-Site Without Needing Hospital Evacuation
Since the launch of Operation “Am K’Lavi – Rising Lion” and the declaration of a special emergency situation on the home front early Friday morning (June 13), Magen David Adom raised its alert level to the highest state of readiness. All MDA ambulances, mobile intensive care units, emergency motorcycles, and rapid response vehicles have been fully staffed, and the organization’s 35,000 employees and volunteers have been mobilized to provide fast and effective medical response wherever needed.
MDA teams have been dispatched to multiple sites, arriving with large forces of ambulances, intensive care units, and medicycle responders. They have treated 1,007 casualties, including 23 fatalities, 14 in serious condition, 26 moderate, 591 with light injuries, 149 suffering from anxiety, and 204 who were treated on-site and did not require hospital evacuation.
At the request of the Ministry of Health, MDA teams are also transferring nursing patients, ventilated patients, premature infants, and others from vulnerable locations to protected facilities using MDA’s special intensive care buses, mobile intensive care units, and ambulances. Today (Thursday), approximately 73 patients were evacuated from a medical facility in southern Israel that was hit by a missile, and transferred to hospitals in the center of the country.
MDA paramedics and EMTs remain on the highest level of alert, prepared to provide immediate medical assistance as needed.
